What I Was Wearing, mixed media, consisting of clothing, latex, plaster, cardboard and silicone, 40 x 40 x 30 cm, 2021.

What I Was Wearing was created in response to sexual attacks on women, and the unfortunate significance of clothing in these cases. By using materials previously involved in my practice, such as silicone, latex and plaster, I created an abject sculptural object which aims to preserve the clothing; signifying the preservation of events of this nature. An artefact which encapsulates the brutality and disgusting nature of such attacks, with an intention of recognising and healing from them.
